On Saturday, Aug. 4th I went for a short ride. From Safford I went east on US 70 to Duncan, AZ. I then traveled north on 75 to Three Way. From there I went east on 78 up over the mountains and into New Mexico. This route goes from the desert floor up into the mountains of southeast Arizona and southwest New Mexico. The round trip from Safford is about 150 miles and has lots of curves which makes it a very good ride to take on a bike. I did get rained on while in the mountains but it wasn’t very hard and it felt good. On the return trip from Three Way I took US 191 back to Safford.
